Materials: Hand-dyed cotton, silk and linen along with felted mixed fibres and organza and silk roving.
Techniques: Machine felting, trapunto and machine-reverse appliqué. Fibre made using water soluble and threads. Hand and free-motion embroidery. Hand and home-machine appliqué, piecing and quilting.

Artist’s Statement:
This quilt, based on a classmate’s charcoal drawing, is the last in my flower series. The x’s and o’s are a reminder of the game I played in the 70s while attending art school. The freeform shape of the quilt further embraces a flower in nature.
