Techniques: Hand-dyed fabric, shibori, rusting and flour-resist and crackle painting. Hand embroidery and appliqué. Machine piecing. Hand and longarm quilting.

Artist’s Statement:
Rusted objects are usually linked with decay. I like to think this rusted piece represents new organic shapes coming to life. This quilt was named Markings because of the variety of methods used to mark the fabric.
