Materials: Hand-dyed cottons, Shiva® Paintstiks and embroidery thread.

Techniques: Rubbings with Shiva® Paintstiks, hand and free-motion embroidery, fused and raw-edge appliqué, machine piecing and free-motion quilting on a domestic machine.

Credits: An original design using improve Wonky Log Cabin blocks and strip piecing. Fused fabric with rubbings made with Shiva® Paintstiks.

Artist’s Statement:
This abstract piece developed in stages. One piece would decide the placement of the next. I used the circle shape to show the emotions in colour and texture of the fabric and shapes. Circles represent creation and manifestation, as well as unity and completion.
