Artist’s Statement:
Japanese architecture often features a round window to view the seasonal beauty; each person sees for themselves without a limiting frame. So, too, the quilted window. Wine-red obijime of my mother’s kimono bridges east and west. Harmony, simplicity and tranquility interflow between people and cultures. Wabi-sabi flows in white stitching on white fabric.
