Artist’s Statement:
Modern work with simple structure, design and large visual impact is achieved using traditional techniques. Gradation of the ochres in the geese units results in a value change in the gold fields, which evokes the traditional pineapple quilt. Modern quilting is used to enhance the simplicity of the design.
